As a board certified orthopaedist, Dr. David M. Mayer specializes in general orthopaedic surgery and care. He is devoted to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. In a single day, he may treat patients with a variety of conditions, including fractures, torn ligaments, arthritis, osteoporosis, bone tumors, ruptured disks, pulled muscles and lower back pain.

Clinics and Appointment Scheduling:
As a specialist in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Mayer spends significant time in the OR and making rounds on his patients in the hospital. Because of this he is only available in clinic approximately two days per week. As a surgeon on active staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center, he is also required to take trauma call. We ask your patience and understanding if your appointment has to be rescheduled or is delayed due to an emergency.
