Grand Junction, CO (KKCO) - A local doctor is taking his knowledge across seas and will be a physician in the World Cup.
Later this month, Doctor Richard Price of Rocky Mountain Orthopedics Associates, will travel to Italy for the World Cup. He will be a physician to the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team of para-Olympic skiers. A challenge that he says he's excited for.
"The adaptive athletes will be very different. Much more medically issues than the regular athletes have, but it will be medically much more interesting," says Price.
Doctor Price has been a sports medicine volunteer during numerous ski races, but this will be his first year working with the Adaptive U.S. Ski Team.
Follow-up clinical discussion of Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty for Failed Rotator Cuff Repair will appear in November, 2009.
