Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates provides financial support, first aid, and goody bags to Children With Hope 5k/10 Walk & Run

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (June 19, 2014) – A local organization dedicated to caring for children in a Kenyan orphanage is getting some help during this weekend’s charity race from Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates (RMOA). RMOA is providing assistance in several ways, from providing racers with goody bags to staffing first-aid stations. RMOA will also have a corporate team running in the event.

“This organization is very special to us,” explained Mike Zamora, outreach coordinator for RMOA. “Their philosophy and outreach toward children is something we admire and embrace. Helping them out with this race is a fun event that benefits these kids in a variety of ways while still helping out our local community.”

This is the second year RMOA has sponsored the race and this is the sixth year the race has taken place. Last year, RMOA had the most paid race entries and was the corporate race winner. This year, RMOA plans to defend that title with having as many employees as possible participate on Saturday.

The 5k/10k walk and run takes place this Saturday, June 21 at 7:30am. Registration is still open and the race will start on South Camp Road.

RMOA participates in numerous community events throughout the year, providing everything from financial support, to refreshments, to first-aid. For more information about any of these events, please contact Mike Zamora at 970-242-3535.
