Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates provides medical support, refreshments at three upcoming events

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (April 29, 2014) – Several local events are getting a helping hand from Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates (RMOA) to ensure participants get the help they need in the event of an injury. RMOA will be providing resources for the Girls on the Run event, the Rose Hill Rally, and the The Gauntlet obstacle course event.

“Helping out at these events by providing refreshments or first aid tents means that the participants get immediate medical care for injuries and some much needed nourishment following the event,” explained Mike Zamora, outreach coordinator for RMOA. “It’s important to us to take care of all of our athletes here in the Valley, and this is just one way we’re reaching out to do that.”

RMOA is a Presenting Sponsor for the Girls on the Run event on May 3. This is the tenth year that RMOA has helped out with this event, and will be providing post-race refreshments and snacks for all participants.

For the second year in a row, RMOA will be helping out at the Rose Hill Rally on May 4, an event which benefits St. Mary’s Hospitality House. RMOA will have a first-aid tent at the mid-race location at Reed Park in Fruita.

Also for the second year, RMOA will again be providing a first-aid tent for everyone who takes on the challenge of The Gauntlet obstacle course, which benefits Special Olympics.

RMOA participates in numerous community events throughout the year, providing everything from financial support, to refreshments, to first-aid. For more information about any of these events, please contact Mike Zamora at 970-242-3535.
