Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates sponsors new Dreamcatcher Half Marathon with first aid tent, funding

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (March 4, 2014) – The inaugural Dreamcatcher Half Marathon promises to give runners beautiful scenery to take in, terrain to push them out of their comfort zone, and plenty of support along the way to make it across the finish line. Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates (RMOA) will be one of those supporters helping racers as they are one of the financial sponsors of the race and will also be providing a first aid tent at the finish line.

As a show of support for this new event, RMOA is sending three of their own employees to run in the race.

“So many of our providers and employees are active in the running community, and we regularly treat running-related injuries, so this provided a perfect opportunity to provide support and reach out to others in the community,” stated Mike Zamora, Outreach Coordinator for RMOA.

The race follows the Riverfront Trail along the Colorado River with views of the Colorado National Monument, The Grand Mesa and the Bookcliffs, ending at the Edgewater Tap & Grill. Race organizers claim that this event is geared to every level of participant, from the first-timer to the seasoned half marathon runner, so that there’s something for everyone.

The race takes place on Saturday, March 8 at 7 am. Registration is open until March 5 at
