Ski Clinic Safety Tips

KREX, Jan. 25, 2012

With the risk and danger that skiing and snowboarding can bring, the Rocky Mountain Orthopedic Associates want to give skiers a warning on how to protect themselves in the outdoors.

Dr. Mark Luker spoke to the Powderhorn Racing Club Wednesday night about head protection and injury prevention. He said it's important that safety precautions are taught and understood to keep people safe. "So what we tell people is that they should keep their knees together and feet together. They should keep their hands forward and their hips over top of their knees, over top of their ankle. If they get out of balance, one way or another it's probably best to bail out."
