Free water and sports drinks from RMOA at Special Olympics Colorado 2014 Summer Games quench everyone’s thirst.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (May 28, 2014) – When Special Olympics Colorado athletes arrive at Colorado Mesa University’s Stocker Stadium and Walker Field this week for Colorado’s Special Olympics 2014 Summer Games, Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates (RMOA) will make sure they stay refreshed despite the anticipated heat.

As well as being a sponsor of the event, RMOA will also be providing free water and sports drinks not only for the athletes, but for everyone attending the two-day event. RMOA will have 15 volunteers staffing the refreshment tents at soccer games at Walker Field and track and field events at Stocker Stadium, which is also the site of the Opening Ceremonies.

This is the second consecutive year that the organization is holding the event on the Western Slope. Last year’s games boasted record turnout with more than 300 athletes competing for the first time; this year promises to have even more athletes.

The 2014 Summer Games kick off Saturday, May 31 at 9am at Stocker Stadium with closing ceremonies set for Sunday, June 1 at 2pm. The event is free and open to the public.
